Terms and Conditions of Service · Genealab
1. Subject of Service
Genealab undertakes to provide genealogical research services, documentation management for European citizenship, creation of family trees/albums, and roots travel planning. The client hires Genealab as a facilitator and technical expert for these tasks.
2. Scope of Genealogical Research
No Guarantee of Results: Due to the nature of historical records (fires, lost archives, lack of digitization), Genealab cannot guarantee the finding of specific individuals or documents.
Accuracy of Data: The client is responsible for the veracity and accuracy of the initial information provided. Genealab is not responsible for redundant or failed research resulting from incorrect initial data.
3. European Citizenship Management
Decision-making Responsibility: Genealab acts as a documentary manager and advisor. The final decision on granting citizenship rests exclusively with the consular or government authorities of the corresponding country (Italy, Spain, etc.).
Validity of Regulations: Immigration laws and consular requirements are subject to change without notice by sovereign states. Genealab is not responsible for legislative changes that affect the feasibility of the process during or after the provision of the service.
4. Intellectual Property and Copyright
Ownership of Work: Research reports and the graphic design of family trees, albums, and travel itineraries are exclusive creations of Genealab and are protected by intellectual property laws. The delivery of the final product grants the client a perpetual license for use, limited exclusively to their personal, family, and private sphere.
Third-Party Documentation: This reservation of ownership does not apply to official acts or certificates obtained from public records, whose ownership and use for citizenship procedures belong entirely to the client.
Prohibition of Exploitation: Any total or partial reproduction, public communication, distribution, or transformation of Genealab products for commercial purposes or their publication in mass media (for-profit social networks, books, or commercial websites) without the express written authorization of the company is strictly prohibited.
Moral Rights: In any authorized public mention of the research, Genealab’s authorship must be acknowledged.
5. Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR / Local Law)
Confidentiality: All family information and shared documents will be treated as strictly confidential.
Use of Data: The client authorizes Genealab to process their personal data and that of their ancestors for the sole purpose of carrying out the requested research and procedures.
Disclosure: No information regarding living persons will be disclosed to third parties without express consent.
6. Travel Itineraries
Genealab acts as a travel itinerary planner. Third-party services (flights, hotels, transport) are governed by their own terms and conditions.
Note: Our work is strictly planning and advisory. We do not make reservations, sell tickets, or enter into direct contracts with tourism providers.
